We’ve worked our way through the drama of the nations throughout the Bible and land in Revelation where the mystery is finally revealed. God’s original plan for mankind to fellowship, worship, and rule His creation alongside Him will be back in play in Eden, that paradise of delightful pleasure. He will rework or renew it but His people, no longer one nation alone, but those who believe, will walk and talk with Him again regardless of skin color, national location, or language.

Now if you will obey Me and keep My covenant, you will be My own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to Me. And you will be My kingdom of priests, My holy nation. Exodus 19:5-6a 

Israel alone was the recipient of God’s covenant, His promise of love, protection, and provision, however, as we’ve seen from Jesus’ own words and the story of the early church, God opened the door of salvation to any who would believe. Jesus confirmed that outrageous promise with His own blood of the New Covenant.  

Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands. Deuteronomy 7:9 

The Apostle John declares that Jesus, Ruler of the Nations is coming, and that’s something to look forward to,

Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see Him— even those who pierced Him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for Him. Yes! Amen!” Revelation 1:7 

We have such a narrow lens when it comes to viewing God and His Plan, but He has a wide lens that includes all people of the earth. Regardless of your national identity, impressive lineage, physical origin or race, or language, our mysterious God has moved us through this linear time toward eternity which seems to be circular or unending. The heavenly elders and angels were overcome with this revelation,

And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For You were slaughtered, and Your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. And You have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10 

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. Revelation 7:9 NLT

The ‘healing of the nations’ is coming (Rev. 22:2) as Jesus descends in physical form to be the ‘Ruler of kings on earth’ (Rev. 1:5) with believers at His side; there’s no mystery about that anymore!
